Features: This animal is the larval stage of the Mexican Salamander and will only metamorphose into this adult stage with certain conditions, can remain in this aquatic larval stage and live happily. Can be found in a variety of colours: black, golden, albino
Temperature: Water should be regularly changed and kept warm at 55-77F
Size: Can grow up to 12 inches long
Life Span: 10-12 years
Herp Habitat: Aquarium setup required, with water as deep as the axolotl is long
Suitability: BEGINNER  easy to keep if a little unusual
Diet: Crickets, Earthworms, bloodworm, fish, fish pellets, river shrimp, and daphnia
