Common Name: Everglades Rat Snake

Origin: Everglades region of inland Florida
Features: A rich orange coloured snake with a red tongue. Related to the yellow rat snake and shares the same habitat as this subspecies.
Temperature: 80 – 85 F during day, can drop at night
Size: Can exceed 6 feet in total length
Life Span: 20 years
Herp Habitat: An arboreal species so plenty of climbing potential, desert/scrubland setup required
Suitability: INTERMEDIATE
Diet: Will happily eat all defrosted rodents
